Is it a fantastically hilarious idea or a horrible HORRIBLE idea that everyone will shun me for?

Is it any sillier than me wanting to put this on my Mazda5?

You should also put 57S (instead of 570S) decals on your door sills.
Whoops, that’s McLaren. Not ASCMcLaren.
While you’re at it, throw the Honda on some sick gold basketweaves!

“Whoops, that’s McLaren. Not ASCMcLaren.”

Decades ago I modified a ‘Scirocco GTI’ by cutting off the ‘Scirocco’ part and grafting it onto my ‘Vanagon’ badge. Well, it was bigger than a house.
Mom’s Carat had all of the toys, at least as far as Vanagons were concerned. Mine was the lightweight, stripper model, ready to race - no AC, no power steering, vinyl seats (that had been painted to look newer), no power locks, mirrors, or windows, etc. I think there were just two speakers up front, so I had to do a little rewiring to fill that box with sound from my bitchin’ Kenwood KRC-636.
It did have a secondary heater in the back, but that was standard and was probably the only ‘luxury’ item. Lots of fun in winter - no hot water to the radiator or heaters until the engine was warmed up, so I would get through about 3/4 of my commute before I got any heat. Good times...
